		<description>To even have a shot at making a semi-distributed team work, I also believe that it depends on the type of person that is part of a semi-distributed team. I would say that the individuals must have inherent good communication skills and they must be part of the bigger team before being seperated.</description>

		<description>I think your observations with distributed and Agile teams are spot on. Combining collocated and distributed members just for the hope that one will achieve a hybrid will not work. I think collocation is over-used. It is a property that is necessary only when collocating team members achieves some functional purpose that is central to the project&#039;s product outcomes.

Personally, I assert that in a vast majority of circumstances, teams of distributed individuals have every chance of producing good software as any collocated team. In terms of individual motivation, I also believe there is a case for arguing that the quality of distributed teams may even be better.
